Pizza Al Bacio is a family-owned and operated Italian restaurant specializing in pizza. The current Pizza Al Bacio location opened in York in 2012 and continues to grow into one of the area's most beloved pizza establishments.
The business was built by Salvo Faraone, a native of Sicily, Italy and his wife Corinne. Salvo came to the York area in 1998 and helped his sister steer her restaurant Bel Paese to high levels of success. As that business continued to boom, it was time to introduce the area to more quality Italian food. More than 10 years later, Salvo opened up his own establishment.
Taking what he learned during his time at Bel Paese, Salvo made it a point to include only homemade recipes and the freshest ingredients on his menu. While working at Bel Paese, Salvo also met his wife, Corinne. Now they operate Pizza Al Bacio together and can be seen taking care of all the restaurant duties on a daily basis. The business has become a major part of their lives and the family theme is evident — friendly faces who take pride in creating a welcoming atmosphere where customers can feel at home.
